Championship club Portsmouth have taken one of our highly-rated prospects on trial.
Alfie Bingham, a forward player for our U14 White team in the Arun & Chichester Youth A league, has joined Portsmouth for 8-weeks on a Youth Development Phase trial.
Alfie has excelled this season playing for Ash Pugh’s top of the table Pagham as well as playing for his Saturday side Portsmouth in the Community.
Portsmouth’s Lead Scout for U12-15, Dean Adams said: “Alfie came in to play for Portsmouth in the Community against a team made up of our trialists from Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey and he was probably the stand out player on the night. He’s got a lot of potential and he’s done really well for Pagham this season. He’s in for 8 weeks now playing against good professional clubs and will train fully with the academy side. We all look forward to seeing how he gets on.”
