This group of lads have been an absolute pleasure to coach and have the potential to really push on.
A few of these lads came over from another team – of which we were unbeaten in development games at U11 last season and winning a cup – and with a few new additions from the Trials Day, we now have a really interesting group of players.
Our aim is to develop the boys as players, as young lads in a social environment, create a winning mentality and help the boys learn their individual responsibilities and also, teamwork.
Having been promoted to B League, we’ve noticed a step up in standard but the boys are learning and we’ve been very impressed with the football we have played so far this season, despite not always getting the results we probably deserved. A big focus is now one-eye on us moving to 11v11 football next season, with plans in place to be ready.
